If my first class is an indication of how my year is going to be, then God, am I looking forward to this school year. Having the same lectuerer for Instructional Design is a plus, plus, plus for me. Group 4 of UTT 2013, have a spendiforous year.
When I first heard about how long the vacation from UTT would be, I was elated. No more getting up early to reach on time, no studying for awhile. After the first two to three weeks, I was bored and missing school. I am so looking forward to going back.
I am going to miss this class. I appreciate everything that I learnt here and look forward to the next instalment of Ed Tech as part of my reading for a degree at UTT.
Last Wednesday was quite a culmination to the most hectic week that I have had as a student at UTT so far. We had our Survey of Exceptionalities Exhibition and it was quite a colourful and informative scene. Although I liked being part of it very much, I donot want to do it in a hurry again. I was very sorry for the people who were stationed on the outside of the hall without any air condition. Next year has to be planned a bit better so that everybody could be in an air conditioned atmosphere because the temperature was stifling. Peace out.

I thought that I would have been able to use some of the information to help some children. oh well! I also found a website that caters for special needs children. I visited Charran's Bookstore in San Juan last week Monday to buy some stuff for the subject which is the bane of my existence - visual arts and discovered yet another piece of locally derived educational tool. Within recent times, I have been very proud to be living here. There are people including teachers using the advances in technology to make topics that were boring to students more interesting. There is Jay Jay and Friends which my vote is still out on. The Tables Frenzy created by two teachers from New Town Girls R.C. School is a refreshing way to get children to learn their tables.
We teach the content of subjects and then we need to know if what we taught was learnt. This means that we have to test. To help us to create our tests online and administer distance learning there is this website that can help.

Maybe we are waiting too late to try alternative methods. We tend to try in the secondary school arena. We should perhaps start in preschool. The games are interactive and this will help in the children themselves constructing their own knowledge which will make it more meaningful and for them learning will be fun. They will want to learn.

finding a picture to put on my blog took some doing. I had to find one that showed in a most presentable light. I donot think that I succeeded
i swear that I was in a parallel universe in my visual arts class. I feel like a rat in a maze trying to find its way out because I donot understand what is being asked of me in my homework or my first credit assignment
I am extremely glad that I only had to do the online test once because my heart was beating out of my chest as I am technologically challenged.
I am very shaken up by the happenings in Haiti because I believe that we are taking it too lightly as it does not affect us. My stomach curdles at the gruesome scences especially those involving the children
